Al-Sahir - an Og mage, Entry 5

Well the current date is Febuary 11th and I just hit 35. Its been a tough road with a lot of real life getting in the way. I also needed to take some breaks from AC... hunting tuskers gets boring after a while. Starting to Cast sixes renewed things up again along with the steady flow of EXP from BSD. In the last 5 levels I've only done three things. Level on tuskers, get in the allegiances XP chain, and turn in two olthoi claws on the plateu.

I'm sure you all know tuskers. The hairy apes. Real smelly too. Well I started to enjoy BSD as of late. I hunt in Teth so its not to crowded although still camped more then AB's BSD. The EXP is great though as any BM would say. You can make a level a day in BSD if you try hard enough. I only play about 4 hours tops on a good day anyway. I pretty much follow my same tusker draining rules as earlier only now with war I vuln them and shoot a war 5 when I start draining 30 hps. The usually die, otherwise I will toss a war 4. Tuskers are great. 13 or 10k a pop less but more if your in a fellowship. Great way to get skills... ect ect. I'll stop going on because we all know how good they are anyway. One thing I must say is that the virindi suck in there. I hate virindi and when I have a high enough war/creature/life skill I'm going to go beserk on them. I will systematically take out the whole dang virindi race. I wouldn't mind a little help though. Nothing much else I can say besides monkey love.

Experience Chains... you love them or you hate them. Or so they say. I am personally in a love hate relationship with mine. I seem to be the odd man out in my bottom rung spot because of my early EST play times. I never catch anyone on unless I change my schedule. Well I am having to do that as of late just so I can switch over to some other guy. In the meantime though I'm passing up large amounts of EXP from the monkeys in BSD. I've fianlly started to recieve EXP too. Although it was only 17992 or something its still experience. as much as I'd love to be making hundreds of thousands of experience points I'm not and thats cool because I'm making more then what I would by myself. My experience chain is full of allegiance members mostly and they're nice guys and its not hardcore. I don't know if Fist De Yuma generalizes all EXP chains but I believe he is wrong if he believes they all level people up to quickly. If you join mine you still have ta play and I don't find myself to be some newbie who doesn't know what he's doing in about 15 levels. All in all, I'm saying that if your allegiance has one try it out for a bit. I'm sure your patron will take you back.

The Marae Lassal plateu is a great place, well for the 20 minutes I was on there. I finished learning my life protect VI's because for the last 5 levels I've only used armor and bludg VI. I pulled off a mock buff cycle too to see how long it would take me to buff my robe and self. It turns out that I actually have a bout 10-12 minutes to hunt. More then I expected. After I turned in my 10k worth of claws I thought I'd explore for a bit. Low and behold I come upon some feral carenzi. I yeild one and drain stamina, and health. I then proceed to vuln it. The bugger resisted around 6 or 7 times. Don't even ask me how I fared with the war. I guess It will be another 10 levels or so till I hunt actively up there.

Don't have to many goals now. I figure by 40 I will be casting 7s in everything or near all 4 schools. I have a plan of raising focus self then creature. Once I achieve 7s in creature its only a matter of time till life, war, and item are up there. Then it is time for me to show those little rats whats up. That and a faster route to killing tuskers. I have a feeling the next 5 will be the same as the last 5 and the 5 after that. Once I get through this rut though I will be having a blast on aerlinthe, quests, and the plateu. Dereth here I come!
