Tusker Slave is survived by his friend, Virindi Master, his wife of 15 years, and 324,213 siblings.

Services will be held at the Waijhou lifestone on Friday. All tuskers, regardless of level, are invited to come out and seek furious vengeance on the interlopers responsible.

03.13.01 - All spells revealed

Ok if you don't like spoilers stop reading and don't follow the link. This link contains all the spells stored in AC. These include all the level 7 spells for war, life, critter, and item. It also contains all the spells that Baal used and spells like the ones found on the focusing stone. What's really intresting is the descriptions of the spells. It basically reveales that the Life 7 spells are only an increase in duration, the critter spells look pretty good though. One very intersting spell that poped out at me was the a lockpicking spell that reduced the lock resistance by 200! I think the chest that contains the staff of the nomads is like 300. hmm....

This sounds like a good idea, and it has been tossed around the office for some time. New spells are certainly on the work table, and for all those that are feeling neglected because they don't have an obscenely high magic school to cast level 7's, don't be. We have plans, for more fun and exciting war spells.

03.02.01 - New Message Board

In an efftort to make this site your one stop shopping for Battlemages I've set up a message board. I hope that people will actually use it. At the very least it'll be a place where I will try to answer all your questions that I might not otherwise get to by email. Don't just sit there Check it out! and for god sakes post a message :)

Also I'll be posting a thread for every news item I post that way you can leave comments for them.

03.01.01 - Speaking of the 3 Tower quest, I did it tonight.

Well tonight I took a break from leveling dizz and went on the 3 towers quest. I did this partially because I've never done it and partially because I want the Focusing Stone :) I know it stone isn't that practical but neither are the all the atlan stones I have in my pack. I'm not going to go through how to do the quest since it's well documented. What I'm going to do here is rant and rave about it.

So me and my buddy both get our archers out and run to the southern dires portal near mayoi. The run to the three towers took about 10 minutes. When we got there there were already a couple of guys who had started pulling the levers on the towers so we asked if we could follow them. They agreed and we were off, the lesser acoylate spawned and we killed it quickly and he spawned the portal. I really do like this mechanism and I'm glad turbine is starting to use this more and more. In this quest they use this mechanism about 5 times. The only problem with this is that this is a high traffic quest and if you don't know what you're doing you could miss a spawn that has a portal you need.

The dungeon layout is not too bad, and closer to the bottom it has some prety good sites to see. I highly recomend you do this quest just to see a quest like this work the way it does. It really is a pretty neat quest. When we get to the bottom room there are already about 4 or 5 people there. *sigh* I hate waiting in line but we did as I need the skull to do the focusing stone. This is where things go bad.

<Rant> So we're in line and everyone's acting like good little boys and girls waiting there turn. There's 4 in our group and we're up next. The undead dude is on like a 5 minute spawn so it's going to take about 20 minutes to get through our group. Another group comes in at this point and we tell them what the line is. I get the kill, being the big bad archer I am, and I open the corpse for my team mate. I tell him that it's open and some !@#$!$ guy named Darco something jumps the corpse says something like "Hmmm mine then?" then logs out. Man I hate asses like this. I just don't understand why turbine makes these types of situations. You'd think we could all be considerate enough to play around them, but some of us are just ebay selling, uber wanna be's that have trouble adapting to society. I just don't get greif players </Rant>

So we get our keys and our skulls and we're off to play the chest lottery.

<Rant> We go through the newly spawn portal to go get our loot. When you get there there are 4 chest that you can use you're key on. Only 2 of them really spawn anything worth keeping. We get in the room and there's more lines! Ack! So I ask "Which chest spawns the best stuff" another replies "The east one but the lines so big you might as well use the NW one" WTF??? there's only 1 person standing by the one to the east so I ask how many keys he has, he says 5. Five!!!! that 20 pulls at 5 minutes a piece means it's going to be a 110 minute wait. Oh I'm pissed at this point and go ahead and pull from the NW chest. I got maybe 2 items that were keepable out of the 4 pulls. Why oh why does it have to be this way? Turbine puts a timer of 5 hours on being able to get the key, and people are still camping it. So what do they do? They put a timer on the chest also to make it impossible for people really doing the quest to get a fair chance at the chest </rant>

Despite all the ranting, I do suggest you do this quest it's really a good quest it's just ruined by other players.
