I've been working on this thing for quite a while now and I think it's finally complete.  It has its own page now so it doesn't clutter up the resource section anymore.  I'd like to give a big thanks to Yom of Leafcull for providing me with all the level 7 spell names and descriptions.

I'm really hoping that we get some more journal contributors for other mage classes.  There are some new message boards up so if you like these journals please submit your own.

07.27.01 - Message Boards are now Ad free

In an amazing turn of events an anonymous donor has fronted all the money to make our message boards ad free.   This is a real relief as the pop-up adds were getting real annoying, so not only did we get rid of that but also all the ads on the boards.  Plus this will move us to a faster server which will make everything faster.  Thank you so much!  If your a regular poster to our boards please give our friend a warm thanks here : All Banners gone!!! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

Since I am talking about the message board I'll give just a little bit more information on it.  The message board was created about a month after I opened the site on 3/2/01.  Since that time we've had over 53,000 visits and almost 5,000 post!  Also we now have over 250 registered users and starting to get over 1,000 visits per day.  Those are pretty amazing numbers for this type of site in less than 5 months time.  In fact we are in the top 5% of active boards hosted by EzBoard.com.  

Now I'm not given out these numbers to brag, I letting you know that if your a mage and your not a member of our community you are really missing out.  It's not just for Battlemages any more all are welcome.  And I'm sure you can find a forum to suit your needs. You don't have to register to post and it's a very friendly board. New forums are opening up so now is the perfect time. Do yourself a favor and drop by and say hi. 

Also I have paid to remove the ads on these main web pages, so they should be going away sometime soon. 

07.20.01 - McWar Mage Journals

Yes I know the name is still debated and I even started a poll on it.  But then at the last minute Dirk Phoenix over on the CoD boards suggested McWar Mage.  This is actually a catchy name and it describes the mage.  It may change in the future if the community actually comes to consensus on it.

What is a McWar mage?  This template has ManaC and War spec'd then generally takes 1 of 3 routes (Provided by Zanten).

To start this off though I am honored to be hosting the Emeraldwind journals.  A lot of people know this template by her journals.  So it's treat to have her here.  Please do yourself a favor and read these 6 entries.

I've updated the Level 7 spell information with the location of the last essance.  Also I've added more information on how to get reliable pulls out of a chest.  Remember none of these are facts.  They are just first hand experiences and observations made by mages across Dereth.  All of this can be found in the Resource Section.

Dizz says: Wow why don't they just come out and tell all the OGs to reroll.  I think this is a pretty unfair stance.  I understand that life is a powerful force but I think they could at least enhance it as a support type character or something.  Not just say "No soup for you!"

07.12.01 - The Patch thus far

Well I don't know if it's because I reached 50 or if it's the patch but I've had a lot of fun yesterday.  I had the typical patch day problems like I got stuck downloading into the 50+ dungeon while others around me died horrible deaths from the new hollows. 

But mainly I went looking for new plants and waited to hear of a virindi raid.

Actually as far as mages go this is kind of a rough patch with all the hollows running around but we get a new item that is so choice.  Check it out at Maggie's site on her Lost on the New Horizon page.  Here are the stats courtesy of Maggie's

07.12.01 - Others BMs at 50

Well I wasn't the only one who pushed themselves to get 50 before the patch there were several across the land who did.  On our message board Missy Sinthara did.  This was here witty comment, made me laugh. I'm Freeeeee! Level 50!

BSD-Grief players-Ogs and their early on power are now far behind me. I can cast VI's with 15 mill in creature at 50. I have one advantage. I'm cute-can shoot & scoot-collect great loot and most definantly can yell a giagantic WOOT!
Weeeee! fun fun fun....Now where did I put those explorer wands? Who cares! I have creature!

07.11.01 - Patch news so far

Man I didn't even realize the servers were up.  This is the juicy mage info I've gathered so far.  First new and improved titles for those that are definitely skilled.  Here's the mage ones.  Hmm Warlock not that's a title I can live with.

War Magic: War Adept / Warlock
Life Magic: Life Adept / Theurgist
Item Enchantment: Item Adept / Artifex
Creature Enchantment: Creature Adept / Evoker

Next on the big news Life 7 spells are in.  And there was much rejoicing.

*yawns* Oh so very tired.  It took me all day to do this, it's 1 am now.  I want to thank my explorer gear, my vassels and especially all you people here for helping me accomplish this.

Well some of the Trendkill diaries have dropped off the message board so I've moved them all into html form.  If you haven't read these before then now's a great time.  In fact I've really enjoyed rereading them as I've been converting them.

07.02.01 - MDXP and the Resource Section

As I've promised, since I first put it up, I'm finally getting around to updating the MDXP Sheet in the Resource section.  To do this though I need your help there are a lot of critters in dereth and it's not an easy task to find the xp for each creature so I've set up this new forum to allow you to post your findings.  Please help me in the endeavor. Plus whoever finds out the most values by the end of the month will receive the title of BeastMaster (or a similar title) on our message board if you so choose.

Also I have reinstated all of the links from CoD in the resource section.
