The Soldier Pincer Dungeon
For the start of your completion we hop a portal to Holtburg. There is a
Redspire Portal here with a handy Lifestone Right next to it near the Academy
Dungeon. Once you hit Redspire there is a fellow there asking for YOUR help in
taking out a few pesky Olthoi that have overrun a local Dungeon (they made this
quest with me in mind I just know it). Head out there given the directions by
this NPC and Take on a few Olthoi Harvestors. They don't give much XP...but the
bottom part of the dungeon holds the ever popular Harvestor Pincer. Get 1, turn
it in, get free XP and do the drudge dance. *dance crazy*
Next our good buddy wants you to take on the Olthoi Gardeners who have also
overrun another dungeon (Goodies). No problem. Again they don't give much XP,
but it doesn't matter, Your goal is the nice NICE l00t these guys drop and the
Gardener Pincer which is worth XP. We are going to be buying more expensive
Scarabs very soon since you'll see your lvls start to fly by as you do these
quests and raise your skills to the lvl of learning VI's. If you want to, set up
a fast running mule to hold your l00t and grab all of it you can. Turn in the
Pincer and get more free XP.
Now you are ready for the big time. Doing all of this took me from lvl 35 to lvl
38 in one sitting. I had the next dungeon ALL to myself and NO one came in the
whole TIME!!!! You'll be asked to go up onto the plateau to kill another dungeon
Full of Olthoi....but this time it's Soldiers. Not only are they good xp but
they are on a super fast spawn, and there are A LOT!!!! Plus the Pincer here
gives an even BIGGER amount of XP than the first 2. Now before you hit the
plateau running....if you look out for or load up 6th sense with these high
weilding XP baddies you'll catch lvls even faster.
These guys are Tusker XP on steroids...but are 1 hittable w/ a cold vuln + Frost blast. Bane and Buff for every attack possibilty...but the rewards are great. Once you hit the Soldier Pincer Dungeon you'll be flying.....Grab claws, l00t, and of course the Pincer. The XP here is hard to beat and I made as much here by myself as I did in My fellowships at the BSD...very close if not more on some runs depending on buff durations. On one of your restocks turn in your Pincer for your Free XP, but then head back in afterwards. I was still casting 5's during this tenure...but once I hit lvl 38 I took the time out to learn my 6's. Once those were in place I headed back out and I will give you a comparison on how big a difference a lvl makes in spell casting.
