Well as promised here’s another installment of my diary as a Battlemage.

Lag

I think this one could be called “Dizz journeys in Lag Land” I don’t know about everyone else but the Lag was unbearable last night. I had intended to get to level 14 last night but the lag definitely kept me from that. I know a lot of people hate to hear people bitching about lag but there is some merit to the complaints. As a mage lag determines everything about your life. When lag hits spells fail more frequently. I don’t know what the formula is but I swear it something like this : Fizzle = (Random Number based on Skill) / Lag

Huntin

I’m still hunting in the mountains of Mayoi so my list of prey hasn’t changed that much. I don’t hunt as many matties as before simple because I can get more xp/minute outta of luggies with less chance of death. Also there seemed to be an inordinate amount of rats in the mountains last night. Rats are just a pain, they give very little xp and are very persistent. Unless it’s a mountain rat just kill the little buggers to get them off your butt.

Death 11 came at the hands of an Ash Grommie, Yeah yeah yeah, I know it was stupid of me to even try but I’m always pushing myself to see how I handle new creatures. So my current list of creatures I don’t bother in the mountains is now Ashes and Linvek Ursuin. I don’t guess I’ve mentioned the Kitties yet. I absolutely love killing the kats but the blue ones just hit way to hard at my level and I’ll have to put off killing them for a while. I can kill them with a lot of work but it’s just not worth it.

Xp Distribution

So there seems to be a lot question on what to raise and when. The way I currently go about raising my stats is I try to raise my base stats by at least 5 to 10 points per level but my top priority is my War and life skills. So After I kill a batch of luggies I first check to see if I can bump either one of my primary skills then I go over and see if I can bump my stats if not the xp is saved till after the next batch.

Accomplishments

Woot, I killed my first Copper and Granite Golems last night. This is a big accomplishment for me because in a couple of levels I plan on moving out to the dires and I’m hoping to make these creatures some of my primary game.
Also I started to learn my level 4 war spells last night. I’d like to say that I can cast them regularly but I have no idea because of the lag last night.

Crack Consumption

This is an odd occurrence to me, I was kinda under the assumption that being a battle mage with out arcane lore that I would use very little mana stones. This couldn’t be farther from the truth, the society gear uses this stuff like it’s going out of business. And I can’t live with out these items so once again I’m still hooked on Crack err I mean Mana Stones

Argggg.. Work keeps getting in the way today so I’ll have end it here.
