Og Rez - an Og mage by Oren, Entry 4

Og Rez's Journal #4 - 2.20.02

The Lugies
Yes, I know, the last installment was really boring. I hope you like this one. It's long and exciting. So when we last left Og Rez he was at Golem Burial Grounds doing just fine. He leveled a few times and was going for his goals. Well, a little hard work and I pushed myself up to 14 and then another few days of playing and he got himself up to 15 and was casting IIIs very well and doing IVs with buffs of IIIs before them. (This is my most powerful mage I have ever created and these are my first level IV spells in my history of Asheron's Call.) He thought of staying until... you guessed it, it started to get a little busy and kills weren't comming into my hands but into the hands of others. I quickly go to Ac Explorer and then stop. I remembered of my friend, Tidelwave (and my new Patron too). Where did he hunt at these levels? I asked him and he said he'll take me somewhere. Half an hour later and I found myself going into a subway and going to the jump. I buffed with Endurance IV and all of a sudden a Endurance VI suprassed it. I jumped and lost 3/4 of my health. I healed myself and got into the Q'alabar Portal and was getting Level VI buffs. We ran a little North of Q'alabar and got to this little tower filled with Lithos Lugians and Obeloth Lugians. He cleared the Lugies so I can get in and we ran around into a small room and I found myself running into a secret narrow room behind a wall! It was pretty cool. I can drain Lugies all I want and I can't get hurt! So I started draining Lugies and was doing just fine. Tidelwave left for Black Spawn Den and I had to log and that was the end of that day.
I came back on the next day to find 2 people there. One level 4 and one level 14. We decided to fellow and get lots of xp together. We were doing very well and we just talked a lot in between the draining. I was so close to level 16 I could have felt it. The day before I had a goal of making 16 by the next day. That day was today. We were draining and draining and draining and we didn't give up. He leveled to 15 and we leaped for joy. Another person logged in level 13. He joined our fellow. We were draining and still draining until finally... Level 16! I buffed myself with Quickness and Sprint IV and I went to recomp which, I only like doing once a night and then came back to Luggie Dwelling. We kept on draining and the level 13 was now 14. I was draining, killing, waiting and buffing. It was a VERY boring routine but I was determined. I told myself, "Don't give up on your goals. You have a plan! Stick to the plan!!"The plan of course was to get to 17 by the end of the night. I kept on draining until the point where my brain was being drained. I quickly logged and went to get a drink. That was the end of another day but I still got to 16 and a half. I planned to get to 17 by the next day. Here are my stats at 16:
Strength - 45
Endurance -110
Coordination - 10
Quickness - 20
Focus - 150
Self - 150
Creature - 154
Life - 153
Item - 110
Mana Conversion - 95
I logged back on the next day and found the level 4 was now level 7 and my friend, which i fellowed with, was also level 16. Me and him fellowed again and then the level 14 came on and I found out he was 15. He joined the fellow and then a Melee character, level 15, also fellowed with us. We were getting thousands of xp per minute. We kept on buffing and draining. I was more determined than ever before in my history of Asheron's Call. The level 7, which was not in the fellow, leveled to level 8. A few seconds later the level 15 leveled to 16. We moved on. Buffing, waiting, draining, killing. Again, the VERY boring routine but I was determined to make 17 that night and nothing could've stopped me. Minutes flew by and I was 17. I got my Mana Conversion to my goal, 100! I got my Life and Creature to 155 but still haven't reached my goals of 160. It costs like 10,000 to raise now but I'll make it. I took a brake for the rest of the night. Tidelwave got to 37 already and I was determined to get to 18 by the next 2 nights or so. I came on again but nobody was there. I start buffing myself (with IVs and they are starting to get MUCH easier) and start draining every single moving thing on on he grounds of my radar. It's like I nuked the place. People got on a few minutes later. It started getiing really crowded. More than 5 people which for that narrow place was crowded. I decided to log and get to 18 in the next 2 nights. All of a sudden Tidelwave /Tells me and tells me that he just died because a Sekelton Overlord or something and he lost his Amuli. I was shocked. He told me to wait online and 5 minutes later he tells me he just died again trying to recover his corpse. He tells me that he asked somebody to get his corpse and that guy did it. So this is the realli irritating part of the story. They guy gives him his corpse but that wasn't his first corpse. He asks someone else to get his others corpse and he were on their way. He was getting back to Tidelwave and Tidelwave started talking to him for 5 minutes but the guy didn't answer. They guy logged off right in front of him. I was totally shocked. Tidelwave took his Amuli from his other, gimped, character and went off to hunt at Black Spawn Den. He told me he was getting HARD lag. He then logs off. He calls me nd I asked him why he logged off and he said he got booted. (The next day he told me he called the DSL company and they said that everyone in his area had their DSL crash. H said that they told him somebody might have been hacking into the database and all that stuff. He thought maybe he died while he got booted but the next day he found out that he hasn't and that guy that took his Amuli said he got booted and he gave Tidelwave his Amuli back.)
By the way, don't get mistaken. Tidelwave wasn't my patron, YET. So the next day I log on and I see Tidelwave is on. I told him I'll swear to him so I Lifestone Recalled and got to Eastham's Lifestone near the windmill. He also Recalled and then I swore to him. He give me a few buffs and he asked for my robe so I gave him my robe and he tricked me! He didn't give me my old, dull, brown looking robe, he gave me his own blue "Robey"! I loved it. It was fully buffed and so was I. I Portal Recalled since the last portal I used was the Q'alabar Portal and accidentally I ran South of Q'alabar. He said he forgot to give me Life buffs so I Lifestone Recalled again. HE gave me the buffs and I Portal Recalled again. I ran through Q'alabar and I stopped DEAD in my tracks. I just heard a "Best Buy" as I like to call it. A person was selling 2 Level VI War scrolls, Acid Stream and Force Bolt, for ONLY 50K, or 1 D note! I quickly said "I'll buy!" and he said "Sold!" I was so excited. These are my first Level VI scrolls, yeah you guessed it, in my history of Asheron's Call. I told Tidelwave and he asked if he could have them. I said I'll think about it, hehe. He is my Best Friend in Real Life you know. So I ran to the Dwelling without asking somebody to clear the place so I could get in. That level 8 was now level 9. I went in and I drained 7 Lithos and 3 Obeloths to death and had my Mana at 100/177(buffed)! I did Stamina to Mana II and I got full Mana! It was pretty cool with VI buffs on. But that's besides the point. Hehe. Well, the level 9 left and I was completley alone. It was Og versus the Lugies. I wiped one round out and logged off because I had something important to do. Then came the next day... or the next chapter... Decisions Decisions.
