Part VII - Draining in DM

Rafferty of Leafcull is a mage who knows what he is doing. So early on in his career as a Mana C speced mage he took the trip to DM and tied to the portal there at LvL 22. There, in Og heaven he drained his way through the lower 20s fast, in the meantime sharing his experience with me and trying to get me out of my Grey Giant Smurf fun in the Baishi citadel. I dragged my feet for 5 levels, did not feel ready before LvL 30 so I waited. The Citadel became more and more boring to me, I needed a change of scenery. So one Friday AM I decided to make the big step, Rafferty summoned portal and off we were.

The DM has two draining spots, one the 2spawn has two tusker guards behind a wall (26.000 XPs q15mins) and is totally safe. The other one the 8spawn has 4 slaves and 4 guards (> 200.000 XPs/hr) behind walls, it is hazardous to get to and there is a Virindi Servant who permanently casts debuffs, harm other etc. on you. It has a high yield of XPs, of course.

We went to the 8spawn first after taking care of the 4-6 entrance Lurkers. Once you get in you turn to the left, kill all drudges, you come to a door that opens when you approach it. Kill the drudges behind the door first. Then go close and run through the door and turn left, down the hall there are three more Lurkers to kill. STOP there! Down the ramp to your right a Servant shows up on radar, check if two slaves are with him. Drain and kill the slaves from behind that wall and then run like crazy down the ramp, along the left wall and around the wall behind it. Stay there, close to the wall. The servant you just passed may follow you to the other side of the wall, meaning two servants cast harm other IV on you, you have to log for a minute to get rid of the one servant. Sometimes on Leafcull Heckler the Mage is there and drains the Servants, that is nice because I saw Ogs dropping like flies around me from the virindi spells. That is where my health of 150 comes in handy, LOL.

The 2spawn is the one I like best, 2 guards , 26.000 XPs every 15mins, very nice. In between spawns I like to run around killing the Stalkers and Lurkers so I net around 150.000 XPs there per hour if I am alone. Now you get there by running straight ahead after you got in, at the end of the hall you take the hallway to the right, kill the Stalker there first. Now turn right again and then right again up a ramp over a bridge. After the bridge you go up another ramp and then take the next right until you come to a big hall. You have to jump down to get into the hall. Stay there and check the radar. To your left is a wall with two Tusker Guards, to your back are several Drudges behind walls. You can stay there and kill everything from there or jump down and concentrate on the Tuskers. Your preference. If you do not jump down in the hall you are safe from melee dudes dragging the Tuskers into the hall……..

I stayed initially at the 8spawn and drained my way up to LvL 30, made these 400.000 XPs I needed in less then 2 hours, very nice but boring. I myself prefer the combination of 2spawn and the drudges, cause I like to kill drudges. The two spawn is my preferred getting-rid-of-vitae spot. Once I am good enough to get rid of the Servants, I may go to the 8spawn more often. My normal DM time is one hour in the early AM CST when I am alone there, besides the 8spawn drainers. I enter the DM after buffing, kill all the drudges at the entrance and behind the door to the 8 spawn, go through the door kill the drudges there and drain the two guards next to the virindi servant there. Then I run back to the DM entrance, run up to the 2spawn, drain the 2 guards there and the kill all the Lurkers and Stalkers around there (about 5 total), hey I just made around 70.000 XPs in 20mins, not bad, I repeat the whole thing and end up with about 150.000 XPs in one hour, this is my DM morning fun. No sweat, no big risk, just ideal between breakfast and getting ready for work.

I made it to LvL 33 there in no time, draining stuff and killing drudges. Then I decided it is time to check out the Direlands around the DM and find that little outpost Dizz is mentioning, Waiojoi (or whatever). So I decide to leave the DM to check out the surroundings……

To be continued………

Battle on friends. May Lord Asheron look favorably upon your path.
