WoW and Addons

With all my researching of Druids and how to play them in groups I have begun to wonder about Addons and how they are affecting WoW. Every site I go to they always list the must have addons for classes as well as dungeons and raids. Deadly Boss Mods being one of the must haves. With these addons you know when something bad is going to occur and what to do. Stop doing damage when Mirrored Soul is cast in Forge of Souls for example. Is this part of the problem with WoW being too easy for some? What if these mods were banned? What if all mods were banned and you had to rely on the standard WoW UI? How much harder would the game be? Would it make a difference?

The addons I use don't really play the game for me they just do things I normally would do in my head anyways so they make the game a bit more casual for me cause by end of the day the last thing I need is to do more math.
Deadly boss mob though is an interesting one. I think with out it, teams would have to talk more which would probably be a good thing so maybe it's one of the addons that makes dicks in pugs more than anything else. Everyone assumes you're running it and know what the hell you're doing and I must admit it helped me realize what I boss was actually doing and what I should be doing but I could have found this out by either group mates or online somewhere.

The only I used and it was very brief was Carbonite. I had never used a addon before and really did not like it.
I also had no clue how to use really. Then again I kinda like not knowing how to do everything.
