In a technological dark hole for a few days

We move next weekend which as it turns out is also a long weekend in Canada. Next Friday Eastlink comes to pick up the DVR and modems for internet and phone. Bell will not be connecting our phone till the following Tuesday and our internet will not be up and running till later that week. So for four days we will be without internet, TV, or phone. At least I will have stuff to occupy me otherwise I think I might go stir crazy.

I think I might have to take up canning. Make some Mustard Pickles or something. On the plus side we picked up a fire bowl so we can have a fire in the backyard. And I am hoping we are far enough out that we can sit outside at night and see a lot more stars that we do in town. I have also bought coffee and borrowed a French Press so next Sunday morning I can sit out on the back porch and drink coffee and read a book. Hmmmm, maybe being in a technological dark hole for a few days might not be a bad thing.

Still alive but still off the grid. Realized we have too much stuff with this move. Friday we spent 12 hours moving boxes. Saturday we made two trips to the new house filling a 26 foot Uhaul twice. Still cleaning out the leftovers. Then movers in Wednesday for the Piano and appliances, the heavy crap we did not want to move.
