I hope to have all of the needed links and files here that you will need as a Battlemage. If you know of more that are need here please send them in.

Files

• Dizz's MDXP sheet - This is my sheet that I upkeep with the latest values found for the Magic Defense and experience for every creature in Dereth. Obviously it's incomplete especially with xp vaules so if you can fill in any of the blanks with accurate information just let me know. I have set up this forum :MDXP  to allow you to add new creatures, update and dispute old values, and to fill in missing values. Sheet Last updated on: 02.23.01

• SplitPea - What would a mage's life be with out this invaluable tool? It keeps track of all your formulas for your spells and even helps you learn new ones. If you don't have it, GET IT NOW!!
• ACExplorer - Find your way around dearth easily with this tool. This is the best tool to figure out where to hunt.
• Portal Map - I highly recommend this easy to use portal map. It has the 3 main portal loops mapped out in an easy to use fashion. I always have this beside my computer. (Now stored locally and as Jpg)

Essays

• Level 7 Spell Information - Local essay on all the information you need concerning these much coveted spells.  Includes Scroll pulling tips, Essence locations, and Spell Listings
• Base To Buff Skills - Ever wondered what your Arcane Lore will be when you have a certain level of focus? Or how high your war skill will be when you get base 220 focus/self?  Well this essay strives to tell you.

Battlemage Links

• The BM template has been around as long as AC has.  It was created by a mage called Animal. If you don't know who animal I suggest you read this interview with him http://www.angelfire.com/sc/demonserv/AnimalI.html basically he's one of the best mages in dearth, he was (I believe) the first person to kill BZ on all servers, so to say this template is viable is an understatement
• Warhead's Battlemage Site here Warhead chronicles his adventures as a battlemage. Also warhead maintains and excellent Battlemage Serverlist

Mage Information

• Q's Guide to being a Mage in Dereth- A very comprehensive guide detailing the differences between the mage templates and how to play a mage in general. Very good reading for any mage. Skill : Beginner ---> Advanced :)
• Turbine's Magic Q and A - This is turbines official question and answer section on magic. Lots of good info here. If you haven't read these they are well worth the time.
• Obsidian Guard's Mage Compendium - A very nice mage guide that covers creation of several types of mages including a BM. Also contains some tips and strategies for a mage. A very nice guide so go check it out.
• Staminia to Mana and you - A good essay on how to effectively use stamina to mana. 
• Pea FAQ - Information on pea, handy if you're considering using them. 
• The Road To Gimpsville - A general discussion on how to avoid gimpdom, although this leans heavly to OG mages it's a good place to see why we choose BM. 

Mage Quest (aka links to maggie's kick ass website)

• Exploration Society Letter Quests - If you're going to play a battle mage you need to do some of these quest. Especially the focus necklace and war/life wands
• Impious Staff - I've never done this quest but it's one of the reasons most of us choose Gharu as our race.
• Shadow Hunter Armor - I put this here because I think as a battlemage you should probably try to get this armor.
• Chorozite - We need this for disspell spells etc. so this is handy information.
• Caulnalain Vestibule - This one isn't necessary but could be nice for those level 7 item spells. You can get the Caulnalain Crystal Orb with this quest.
• Hieromancer's Armor - This is the new mage armor. A very good quest for high level mages to test their skills.
• Aerlinthe - Once you get to be a very high level BM you should be able to do this quest with your buddies and get the coveted black robe, Aerlinthe recall spell (*drool*), and the Staff of Aerlinthe. 

Spell Research

• Component Dictionary - I believe that if you're going to be a mage you need to know about the nature of your art. Sure we don't have to learn spells like we use to but if you know the nature of magic in Dereth it can only help you. This is a very good guide on what all the components mean and how they effect magic.
• Spell research and tapers demystified - Ah the site that allowed all of us to easily learn spells. Red Monika was one of the first to crack the taper rotation formulas.
• Spell Research at CoD - Allen's spell research guide. Also some handy information on what skill is required to cast a spell.
