Ok, I know I just posted a diary yesterday, but today was rather interesting, so I figured I'd type it up while it's fresh in my head.

Jeezus Christ....I must have been gone longer than I thought.
When I first started this character it was like being an utter newb. I knew jack about playing a mage. Well if you could see my first 2 hours back to Tusker hunting, once again you'd think I was a newb. Maybe I should have eased back into it, but due to the fact that I'm a dumb-ass, I made 2 big mistakes.

Big Mistake Number 1:
I went straight for the Obsidian plains.

Big Mistake Number 2:
I didn't buy any trade notes.

Now, I'm as broke in-game as I am in real life, and that sucks.
Nothing sucks as bad as leaving a body that you can't recover, but that's exactly what I did. That hasn't happened in a LOOOONG time, so you know it was bad.
My first death was horrendous, my 2nd death (trying to recover the first body) was almost as bad. My 3rd death (guess what i was trying to recover?) was just me being stupid. Luckily I recovered bodies #'s 2 & 3, but I'm still out 4 or 5 Master Robes and about 70-100k pyreals.

I need a set of training wheels on this thing.

Ok, so the plains was a bad idea. I can admit that. I needed to get some practice before going for the gusto, so I figured I'd hit BSD for a bit. It's always camped in there, so I figured I wouldn't get overwhelmed and I could get back into the swing of things slowly.

Guess what? I thought wrong.
I've never had so many tuskers to myself inside BSD at one time...I swear, there were 12 tuskers on me at once at one point. Sounds yummy, right?Don't we all dream of having BSD to ourselves?
WRONG!!!
I definitely wasn't prepared for that. I died 2 more times in there, for a final bodycount of 5. I think that's a new record for Trendkill.
Regardless, after about 10 minutes, more people started portalling into BSD, so I wasn't over-whelmed anymore, and got to get my feet back under me. Surprisingly I was still able to get spurts of 5-7 tuskers to myself at a time, which surprised me. Once I had the hang of it again, I decided it was time to move back to my tusker camp.

So THAT'S why they're called CAMPS

Well, I tried it, and now I know why BSD was so empty....EVERYONE moved to the training camps. It wasn't worth hanging around, being as they were over-crowded, so I spent the afternoon in BSD and managed to pull out about 2 million xp. That levelled me to 42 and I got my base Focus and Self both to an even 200. I felt like I accomplished something, and that was nice, for a change. I also recieved the title of Warlock, which is cheesy, but still better than War Adept.
In Turbine's own lore, the masters of War Magic were entitled Heiromancer's right? It'd be nice if we could attain that title. Who's gonna start the petition?

In my last diary I gave myself a deadline of 30 days to hit 50. That means I only needed 1 level every 3 days or so, and I made one of those levels today. I'm getting a little ahead, which is good. It allows me some lee-way and to take a few extra days. If I start to get burnt, I can take a few days off and still have my goal in reach, so I'm happy with today's progress.

8 levels to go, 29 days to do it.
