Warhead is still going at it, making levels, and I want to post again what and how I do it. I left the surroundings of Eastham Beach at level 7 to go venturing in one of my favorite hunting areas for a lowbie: Qualaba'r Mountains. First off, a little advice: Don't even think about Lithos Lugians yet! I learned through exsperince that you don't fool with these yet. War and life just passed 100, and you need way more than that for Lithos. The best thing you can kill at this time are rock throwing low level lugians, aka Laigus and Amploth ones. Venture the mountains and you can often find packs of 6 or more that respawn once or twice. Up behind the lugian post especially, there's a good chance of finding them. If you have problems burning your mana still, stick to level I bolts, I recommend switching to lvl IIs as fast as possible tho. It takes around 6-8 shots to take out a lugian and you need to dodge their rocks at the same time. Still being low level you don't have much health, one stone can be deadly, two are a guarenteed free LS recall. Stay on distance, blast and dodge, and drool as those 1000+ exp per kill pump your level, and skills. War and mana conversion will progress nicely by themselves, keep an eye on your life and other than that your endurance, health and stamina. Focus your exp on these. I stuck to the mountains and searched lugians spots and camped them till they stopped spawning. Didn't take more then a few hours and I hit level 10. ![]() Stick to the mountains untill you have your war and life skills buffed to around 120 each, now it's time to walldrain a little. Move to the lugian underground structure outside Qalaba'r, to the safespot with the other mages. most may scream this place is too camped, but normally you can make great exp here. Drain health I alot, untill you only get like 6 hp from it, then switch to harm other I or II depending on your mana burn. it's a good idead to drain stamina I now and again too, and do stamina to mana for those huge amounts you manage to drain. Getting in here and draining from a fairly safe spot stopped my death count which was rising (15 and counting). Life skill progressed nicely and those Lithos are awesome xp for a person under level 20. I am currently still staying here, tanking a Lithos is a gamble, I win 4 out of 5 times but it's not worth the vitae yet, sucking them dry form behind a wall is a much better choice. As a result I just hit 15 tonight: ![]() Stats are going up, both war, life, mana conversion and loyality, along with my attributes. I still haven't had the need to raise strength, and when I have to go shop I pick up some ground loot and sell worth of 4-5000 pyreals in town. If you're low on cash, sell in Qalaba'r and hit Hebian-to for components and mana charges, they're cheap there :-) That's about it for now. Anyone read this? Have comments? I am mostly writing it so others can get an idea of how and where to level their young mage that isn't being tweaked. |
