Time for part 4 of this progress/tutorial report.

Warhead spent some times in different parts of the dires, looking for Drudges. Not having much luck finding good area's, and the constant buffing with IVs was turning into a waste of components.

One of the best ways to get good exp in the 20s are Tuskers, Disaster Maze and Virindi Fort are two of the more popular ones. Usually I stick to Virindi Fort because it's uncamped during the day time for me, and I can get quite a few slaves downed.

Without creature you'll have to expect still getting resisted, it's not till around 200 life magic they become easy to kill. You'll get around 9K exp for a kill, more or less depending on how long it takes you, but the exp reduction code takes it's toll when the Tusker can't get to you.

No matter about that tho, in the 20s 9K a kill is awesome, if you're a decent drainer you'll make at least 4K off a tusker, even when it's crowded, just a matter of wether or not you have the patience to do wall draining.

I do, especially when it's uncamped, and in a short time I managed to hit 25:

I was building my skills, testing face-2-face tusker action when I was alone, and more often than not I still had to run, at this point the 10 endurance keeps you from the real fun.

I kept on wall draining through 25 and some of 26, building my life to 210, war to 200 and item to 180, mana conversion got a little exp too but other than that it went into endurance, focus, self, health, stamina and mana.

I hit 100 health about 1/3 in level 26, and it was time to hit the open plains. You exit the virindi fort totally buffed, sometimes the spawns outside are real nasty, and exiting the place alone is a gamble. I got toasted going out once, and gave up on the corpse (Having grievvers and altered around it, ick). But pack a few death items and you'll do fine.

Before going to the plains you have to re-equip yourself to keep buff time low. I go with the always stylish faran robe with hood, my good studded leather gauntlets, and long sleeves shirt and long pants that I created on the char at birth. Add them to hotkeys in the bottom and buff gauntlets, robe, shirt and pants with Impenetrability V and Blugeoning Bane V, follow it up with Armour Self V and BLugeoning Protection Self V. Add extra banes and protections if you're not good at dodeing spells and the like when exciting.

I midiately head west from the exit, down across the spawn plate and up on the next. Here you'll find tons of tusker slaves and guards in packs of 2-5, strategy for these is as follows.

Pick a Tusker, and move to the edge of radar distance. Throw a force/flame bolt at it, follow by piercing/fire vulnerability. The vuln should land before the bolt, and the bolt will take from 70-120 points of damage if you don't get resisted on vuln or bolt. I hardly ever get resisted with the skills mentioned above, and he and his friends will come running after you. At 26 you can't take much of a beating, especially with 10 endurance birth like me. Turn 180 and start running, untill all but the vulned/hurt tusker is on you. Turn around and start draining him, do a stamina drain in between and once you get 10-15 points for a drain, blast him. Usually you end up with around 20-40 points of unhealed damage to yourself. Throw Heal Self III, restock your mana (Rejuvnation V and lying down works wonders at this time, not untill you have 180 stamina should you think about revitalize).

Go back and repeat, if guards resist too much, stick to the slaves, stay out of the way from altered, obsidian golems and other nasties. At this time you won't be able to do any purging (removing) of V spells. Tuskers usually hang around Virindi, and they show easily on radar, stick around using "next monster" key and the Tusker will show if it's there.

This is how I do it, and at record pace (Around an hour) I made it to 27:

Now I am truely in heaven, currently building health and run, and soon it's time to go look for a lift close to Ayan and get Lifestoned there. But for now it's toe-2-toe Tusker killing time.
